Independent philosopher. Storyteller. Artist.

My name is Tricia Johansson and I’m an author, independent scholar, worldbuilder, and artist, but maybe most importantly: I’m a storyteller.

My goal is to raise awareness about disability, trauma recovery and spiritual and occult self-care through content creation and writing. I assist to inspire, educate and help people helping themselves through imagination, lifelong learning, original metaphysical philosophy, occultism and psychology.

By bridging scholarly work with storytelling and worldbuilding, I aim to bring content that comforts and that gives hope.

What I do

Writing: non-fiction

I write in the self-improvement and personal growth realm, but I wouldn’t label it “self-help books” since I’m not really a fan of those. Mine are more of a philosophical read and a lot more flexible - especially for neurodivergent folks! They are also spiritual in nature, since I’m a trinitarian wiccan.

I also write philosophy, mostly academic papers that falls into the contemporary and independent category. I write poetry, mostly mystery and horror-themed poetry and I write memoirs and personal essays as well. Mostly in a psychological, and trauma-informed perspective. I also write essays and articles on feminism, queer theology, gender theory, occultism, mythology, lifelong learning, disability acceptance and trauma awareness.

Writing: fiction

I write fiction as well, mostly fantasy. I also write mystery and LGBTQ romance stories. Most of my stories are a blend of these three genres as well; fantasy with a mysterious twist with LGBTQ characters and themes.

I write short stories, but also longer stories up to novels, but it often ends as novellette's or novellas for me. I don’t know why, but I like to write episodes rather than long stories that takes forever to proof-read, edit and work on overall... I also rather write a collection or a series that are many stories but they all have (mostly) the same characters and take place in the same very detailed world or worlds. Quality over quantity!

No matter if I write scholarly or pure fiction I want to tell a story. Stories are ideas, and that is what I’m made of.

Digital products for neurodivergent-friendly spirituality & self-care

Through my brand MeBestie Design, I release digital products for neurodivergent and disabiled people, for the late bloomers and for others who wish to work on theimselves, their spirituality, and their personal development.

With membership pages, services like card readings and digital products like digital planners and printable workbooks, this website aims to combine art and design with coaching and psychology.

Storytelling through tabletop roleplaying games, worlbuilding & the arts

I am a worldbuilder! I have created multiple worlds for different settings and I also do a lot of solo roleplay and often publish the stories I create as well. Imagination is impoartant, just as important as scholarly work and I do writings and own research on how imagination and worldbuilding affect the wellbeing of people. Especially people with neurodivergent brains.

Educator through content creation

I do content creation on primarily YouTube. I merge philosophy and theology/spirituality/witchcraft with personal growth, disability awareness and my journey with trauma recovery. I also bring educational and inspiring content about what I do academically as well!
